In March, Nikki, along with her daughter Elle, cousins Carly and Ava, and dear friend Rebecca, visited Public School 183 in Manhattan to share with students what life is like for those who are affected by vision and hearing loss. Ava and Rebecca shared their own stories of how they navigate daily challenges while living with Usher Syndrome, a genetic condition that causes both hearing and vision loss.

New tax deed sale legislation is on the horizon with substantial implications for lienholders. House Bill 1383 was ordered enrolled on March 9, 2018, after unanimously passing both the House and Senate. HB 1383 proposes amendments to § 197.582, Fla. Stat., that will have the effect of barring claims to surplus tax deed sale funds if certain procedures are not followed.
