Jonathan “JB” Lewis is the managing partner of the Massey Law Group’s Broward County Office. He is committed to the firm’s core value of relationship-based service and places a priority on understanding and tailoring solutions to the intricacies of each client’s unique circumstances.

JB serves as a trusted business law advisor to entrepreneurs, small business owners, and corporate clients throughout the State of Florida. He draws on extensive experience as a commercial litigator to provide expert counsel to clients on the legal issues that they encounter in the business world, from the proper formation of their business entities to the resolution of disputes with employees, vendors, customers, and partners/shareholders.

A large portion of JB’s litigation practice is focused on real estate and has included representation of both lenders and sophisticated borrowers in disputes arising from complex residential and commercial loan transactions. In addition to his litigation practice, JB also provides consultation and assistance to many other attorneys and their clients in appellate matters throughout the State of Florida. He has successfully secured the reversal of multi-million-dollar judgments on behalf of his clients and has also succeeded in securing appellate verdicts affirming numerous favorable judgments entered on behalf of his clients.

JB dedicates a portion of his practice to creditor’s rights and creditor representation in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings, and litigation arising from secured transactions and the recovery of collateral. He regularly represents financial institutions, private equity groups, and other creditors in claims litigation, valuation proceedings, avoidance actions, and objections to and negotiation of plans of reorganization in bankruptcy.

As a lifelong resident of Broward County, JB believes that his clients and are best served by a business law firm that is active and engaged in the community. He is a graduate of Leadership Broward (Class 36), has served on the board of directors of the Lighthouse of Broward, and is also an active member of the Mission Continues, Broward Platoon.
