Massey Law Group, P.A. (MLG) was proud to sponsor the Inspire Conference held by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL). Lawyers from across Florida attended this conference in St. Petersburg from April 8-10 for a day of professional development, networking, and mentorship. MLG Associate Attorney Jordan Baer and Law Clerk Omote Ekwotafia-Thelin represented the firm at the networking comedy show at Spitfire Comedy House, the CLE program, and the Judicial Reception held by the Pinellas County Chapter of FAWL (PFAWL).
The newly built Second District Court of Appeals Courthouse hosted the conference in its beautiful new space in downtown St. Petersburg. The programming focused on empowering women in the legal profession through a series of CLE sessions. Highlights of the curriculum included a deep dive into setting professional and personal intentions and a panel discussion regarding women in leadership, specifically focusing on the process of campaigning for public office.
In addition to the educational sessions, attendees participated in a lunch with judges from the Court of Appeals, providing a unique opportunity for dialogue between the bench and the bar.
The event concluded with PFAWL hosting its second annual Judicial Reception, where practitioners and members of the judiciary gathered to celebrate and inspire the local legal community.

“I have never felt more inspired to be the best version of myself and to give back to the community than I did leaving the Inspire Conference. I am so grateful to be a member of an organization consisting of such amazing women and look forward to growing with all of them,” said Jordan Baer.
Attorney Jordan Baer currently serves as the Young Lawyers Division Chair for PFAWL. Along with Managing Shareholder Starlett Massey, Jordan Baer helped to organize and plan the Inspire Conference with FAWL President Jennifer Gutai Comella.
